Exporting Analytics Data

Download your analytics data as a CSV file for reporting and analysis.

Exporting Analytics Data

Download your analytics as a CSV file for monthly reports, spreadsheet analysis, or import into external reporting tools.

How to Export Your Data

  1. From the dashboard, click View Full Analytics in the header.
  2. Set your time period -- 7, 14, or 30 days. The export will cover whichever period you've selected.
  3. Optionally filter by page type (Home, About, Shop, or Portfolio). Leaving it on "All" exports aggregated data across all pages.
  4. Click Export. Your browser downloads a CSV file for the selected period and filter.

Pro Tip: For a monthly snapshot, set the period to 30 days, leave the filter on "All," and click Export.

What's Included in the Export

The CSV contains daily aggregated data. Each row is one day, with columns for every dashboard metric:

  • Date -- The day the data corresponds to.
  • Page Views -- Total page views for that day.
  • Unique Visitors -- Distinct visitors for that day.
  • Clicks -- Total clicks on page elements.
  • Device Breakdown -- Desktop, mobile, and tablet split.
  • Top Links -- Most-clicked links and their counts.
  • Top Countries -- Visitor countries and view counts.
  • Top Referrers -- Referring domains and visit counts.

The CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, LibreOffice Calc, or any spreadsheet app. You can also import it into tools like Tableau or Looker for advanced analysis.

Use Cases for Exporting Data

Monthly Reporting

Download analytics at the end of each month to build a performance archive. Over time, you'll track long-term growth trends beyond the 30-day dashboard window.

Comparing Time Periods

Export data for two different periods and compare them side by side in a spreadsheet. For example, export 30-day data at the end of January and February, then compare page views, CTR, and top referrers to see what's changed.

Sharing with Your Team or Clients

The CSV export is the easiest way to share performance data with teammates, managers, or clients. Attach it to an email, drop it in a shared folder, or import it into a dashboard tool -- no Leenkies account needed to view the data.

Building Custom Dashboards

Import the CSV into Google Sheets to build formulas, pivot tables, and charts tailored to your reporting needs. Combine it with data from other platforms for a unified performance view.

Pro Tip: Set a recurring calendar reminder to export on the first of every month. This ensures you always have a complete historical record, even if you change your plan or restructure your pages.
