Contact Form Block
The Contact Form block turns your Leenkies page into a lead-capture tool. Instead of sending visitors to an external form service, you can collect names, emails, and phone numbers directly on your page. Every submission flows into your built-in Contacts CRM, and you can even configure automatic freebie delivery to new subscribers. This block bridges the gap between your public page and your audience management.
Adding the block
The Contact Form block is found in the Content category of the block palette (listed as "Contact Form" with the description "Collect leads & deliver freebies"). Drag it onto the canvas or use an add-block divider to insert it at a specific position. Once added, click on the block in the canvas to open its settings panel.

Form fields
The settings panel includes a Form Fields section that controls which fields appear on the form. There are three available fields:
Name (always required)
The Name field is permanently enabled and required. Every submission must include a name. This field cannot be toggled off, ensuring you always know who is reaching out. In the settings panel, the Name field shows a toggle switch that is checked and disabled, with the label "Always required."
Email (always required)
The Email field is also permanently enabled and required. Since email is the primary way you will follow up with contacts, it is always collected. Like the Name field, the toggle switch is checked and disabled, with the label "Always required."
Phone (optional)
The Phone field is optional by default. You can toggle it on or off using the switch in the settings panel. When enabled, it appears as an additional field on the form. The label "Optional field" indicates that while the field will be shown if enabled, visitors are not required to fill it in.
Toggle the Phone field on if your business relies on phone communication (for example, if you are a consultant who schedules calls) or if you want to capture phone numbers for SMS marketing. Leave it off if email is your primary contact method and you want to keep the form as simple as possible.

Button text
The Button section lets you customize the text on the form's submit button. The default text is "Subscribe," but you can change it to anything that fits your context:
- "Subscribe" -- Good for newsletter signups and general lead capture.
- "Sign Up" -- Works well for community or membership signups.
- "Get Started" -- Effective for onboarding or free trial offers.
- "Send Message" -- Appropriate for general contact or inquiry forms.
- "Get Your Free Guide" -- Perfect when paired with a freebie delivery action.
Enter your preferred button text in the text field. Keep it short and action-oriented so visitors know exactly what happens when they click.

Appearance
The Appearance section offers surface style options that control the visual container around the form. The available styles are the same as other blocks:
- Plain -- No background or border.
- Minimal -- Subtle separator lines.
- Card -- Bordered card with background.
- Soft -- Light background fill.
- Outline -- Thin border with no fill.
- Accent Left -- Colored accent bar on the left.
- Accent Top -- Colored accent bar along the top.
- Note -- Sticky note appearance.
Choose a style that makes the form stand out on your page. The Card or Soft styles work particularly well for forms because they visually separate the form from surrounding content and signal to visitors that this is an interactive element.
Post-submission actions
At the bottom of the Contact Form settings panel, a note explains that post-submit actions (message or freebie delivery) are configured in Contacts > Settings. This means the behavior that happens after a visitor submits the form is not configured in the block editor itself, but in a separate global settings area.
There are two post-submission action options:
Show a message
After submission, display a thank-you or confirmation message to the visitor. This is the default behavior and works for any type of form.
Deliver a freebie
After submission, automatically deliver a free digital product to the visitor. This is a powerful lead magnet strategy: offer a free e-book, template, checklist, or resource in exchange for the visitor's contact information.
To use freebie delivery, you must first:
- Create a digital product in the Products section that will serve as your freebie.
- Configure the post-submission action in Contacts > Settings and select the product to deliver.
When freebie delivery is configured, visitors who submit the form receive an email with a download link for the free product. Their contact information is still saved to your CRM.

How contacts appear in the CRM
Every form submission automatically creates a new contact in your Contacts section (accessible from the sidebar under Audience > Contacts). Each contact record includes:
- The visitor's name.
- Their email address.
- Their phone number (if the phone field was enabled and they provided one).
- The date the contact was created.
You can view, search, and manage all contacts from the Contacts screen. This gives you a lightweight CRM without needing any external tools.
Heading options
Like other blocks, the Contact Form block includes a Heading section where you can add a title (for example, "Get in Touch," "Stay Updated," or "Join My Newsletter") and choose a heading style. A well-written heading tells visitors what to expect when they fill out the form.
Pro Tip: If you are using the freebie delivery feature, make your heading and button text specific to the freebie. Instead of "Subscribe" with a heading of "Contact Me," try "Get Your Free Template" with a heading of "Download My Free Social Media Planner." Specificity dramatically increases conversion rates because visitors know exactly what they are getting.
Pro Tip: Keep the form short. The fewer fields visitors need to fill out, the more likely they are to complete the submission. If you do not need phone numbers, leave the Phone field disabled. A simple name-and-email form converts significantly better than a longer form.
