Rich Text & Media Blocks
The Rich Text, Media, and Content List blocks let you add formatted writing, visual content, and structured information to your pages.
Rich Text block
The Rich Text block adds a formatted text editor to your page with a full formatting toolbar for polished, readable content.
What you can do
The editor supports standard formatting:
- Bold and italic for emphasis.
- Headings for structuring longer content.
- Bulleted and numbered lists for organized information.
- Links embedded within your text.
- Blockquotes for highlighting key statements.
Type directly into the editor, highlight text to format it, and see results in real time on the canvas.

Use cases
- About page bios -- A longer introduction beyond the 150-character header bio. Tell your story, explain your mission, or describe your background.
- Announcements -- News, updates, or important information. A rich text block at the top of your Home page can serve as a dynamic announcement banner.
- Instructions or guides -- Step-by-step instructions or usage guides for your services or products.
- Blog-style posts -- Short articles, reflections, or thought pieces.
This block includes the standard heading options and surface style.
Media block
The Media block adds visual content -- either an uploaded image or an embedded YouTube video. It's your go-to for visual elements that break up text and grab attention.
Choosing a media type
The first setting is media type:
- Image -- Upload an image file displayed at full width. Use for photos, graphics, banners, or any visual content.
- YouTube -- Paste a YouTube video or Shorts URL. The video embeds directly so visitors can watch without leaving your site.

Image uploads
With Image selected, click the upload field to browse and select a file. The image previews in the settings panel before saving.
YouTube embeds
With YouTube selected, paste the video URL. Both standard and Shorts URLs are accepted. The video embeds as a responsive player that adapts to any screen size.

YouTube channel feeds
Instead of embedding a single video, you can connect your YouTube channel feed to automatically import your latest YouTube content into a media block. This keeps your page fresh without manual updates every time you publish a new video.
How it works
When you select the YouTube channel feed option in the media block settings, you provide your YouTube channel URL. Leenkies subscribes to your channel's RSS feed and automatically pulls in your latest content. As you publish new videos on YouTube, they appear on your Leenkies page without any extra steps.
Content filtering
You can choose what type of content to display:
- All content -- Shows both regular videos and Shorts from your channel.
- Videos only -- Filters out Shorts and shows only standard-length videos.
- Shorts only -- Shows only your short-form vertical content.
This gives you control over what visitors see, so the content matches the purpose of your page.

How entries appear on your page
Your latest videos are displayed automatically in the media block, showing video thumbnails that visitors can click to watch. As you publish new content on YouTube, the feed updates and your page reflects the changes.
Channel feeds vs manual YouTube embeds
- Manual YouTube embed -- You paste a single video URL. It stays the same until you manually change it. Best for featuring one specific video.
- YouTube channel feed -- Automatically pulls in your latest content from your channel. Updates itself as you publish. Best for keeping your page current with your ongoing YouTube activity.
Pro Tip: Use content filtering to match your page's purpose. If your page is a professional portfolio, filter to "Videos only" to showcase polished long-form content. If you're promoting quick tips or entertainment, "Shorts only" keeps the focus tight.
Use cases
- Hero images -- A striking image just below the Header that sets the tone for your brand.
- Video introductions -- Introduce yourself, explain your services, or demo a product.
- Portfolio highlights -- A key project image or video walkthrough.
- Event promotion -- An event image or video recap.
Content List block
The Content List block displays structured items, each with a title and description -- perfect for clean, scannable information.
How it works
Each item has:
- Label -- A short title (e.g., "Phase 1" or "Strategy").
- Description -- A longer explanation accompanying the label.
Add items with the add button. Reorder by dragging handles, just like links.

Use cases
- Service descriptions -- List services with brief explanations.
- Process steps -- Walk visitors through your workflow: "Step 1: Discovery Call," "Step 2: Proposal," "Step 3: Delivery."
- Feature lists -- Highlight features with clear labels and descriptions.
- Event agendas -- Lay out a workshop, webinar, or conference schedule.
- Pricing tiers -- Summarize what's included at each level.

Pro Tip: Pair a Rich Text block with a Media block for maximum impact. A compelling image followed by well-written text creates a storytelling rhythm that keeps visitors scrolling.
