Managing Your Products

View, edit, activate, deactivate, and delete your digital products.

Managing Your Products

Once you have created digital products on Leenkies, the Products page becomes your central hub for managing them. From here you can view all your products at a glance, edit their details, control their visibility, and remove products you no longer need. This guide covers every management action available to you.

The Products List View

The Products page adapts its layout to your device for the best browsing experience:

Desktop View

On desktop, your products are displayed in a table format with columns showing key information at a glance:

  • Product image -- A thumbnail of the product's main image for quick visual identification.
  • Product name -- The name of the product, clickable to open the product detail/edit view.
  • Price -- The current price (and sale price if applicable), displayed in the product's configured currency.
  • Status -- Whether the product is currently Active or Inactive, shown as a visual badge.
  • Type -- Whether the product is a Digital Good or Digital Service.
  • Actions -- Quick action buttons for common operations like edit, activate/deactivate, and delete.

The table view lets you scan through many products quickly and compare their statuses, prices, and types side by side.

Mobile View

On mobile devices, products are displayed as cards stacked vertically. Each card shows the product image, name, price, status, and type in a compact, touch-friendly layout. Tapping a card opens the product for editing, and action buttons are accessible through each card's menu.

Editing Products

To edit any aspect of an existing product:

  1. Navigate to the Products page from the sidebar.
  2. Click on the product name (desktop) or tap the product card (mobile) to open the product editor.
  3. Make your changes to any field -- name, summary, description, images, pricing, fulfillment settings, or product type configuration.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

All changes take effect immediately on your published pages. If the product is currently displayed on a page through a Products block, visitors will see the updated information right away.

What you can edit:

  • Name, summary, and description -- Update your product copy at any time. This is useful for seasonal messaging, A/B testing different descriptions, or adding new details.
  • Images -- Add new images, remove existing ones, or reorder them. The first image always serves as the main product card image.
  • Pricing -- Change the price, toggle sale pricing on or off, adjust the sale price, or change the currency. Price changes apply to future purchases only -- existing orders retain their original price.
  • Fulfillment settings -- Update the downloadable file (for Digital Goods with file upload), change the external link, modify custom form fields (for Digital Services), or adjust download limits.
  • Product type -- Switch between Digital Good and Digital Service if your fulfillment model changes.

Pro Tip: If you update the downloadable file for a Digital Good, new buyers will receive the updated file. However, buyers who already purchased will still have access to the file that was available at the time of their purchase through their existing download tokens.

Activating and Deactivating Products

Every product has a status that controls its visibility on your pages:

Active Status

When a product is Active, it is visible to visitors on any page where it has been added to a Products block. Visitors can view the product details, see the pricing, and complete a purchase. This is the default status for newly created products.

Inactive Status

When a product is Inactive, it is hidden from visitors on all pages. Even if the product is included in a Products block, it will not be displayed. The product still exists in your account and retains all its settings, orders, and data -- it is simply not visible to the public.

How to Toggle Status

  1. From the Products list, locate the product you want to activate or deactivate.
  2. Click the Activate or Deactivate action button (depending on the current status).
  3. The status changes immediately and the product's visibility on your pages updates in real time.

When to deactivate a product:

  • Seasonal products. You offer a product only during certain times of the year and want to hide it during off-seasons.
  • Product updates. You are making significant changes to a product (new content, new pricing, new images) and want to hide it while you work on the updates.
  • Sold out or capacity reached. For Digital Services where you have limited capacity, deactivating prevents new orders while you fulfill existing ones.
  • Testing. You are testing a new product and want to control exactly when it becomes visible to visitors.

Pro Tip: Deactivating a product does not affect existing orders. Buyers who already purchased the product can still access their downloads or await their service fulfillment. Deactivation only prevents new purchases.

Deleting Products

If you want to permanently remove a product from your account:

  1. From the Products list, locate the product you want to delete.
  2. Click the Delete action.
  3. Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.

Important considerations before deleting:

  • Deletion is permanent. Once deleted, the product and all its configuration cannot be recovered. If you might want the product back later, consider deactivating it instead.
  • Existing orders are preserved. Orders associated with a deleted product remain in your order history. Buyers who already purchased can still access their downloads (for Digital Goods with file upload). The order records are not affected by product deletion.
  • Products block updates automatically. If the deleted product was included in a Products block on any page, it will automatically be removed from that block. You do not need to manually update your pages.

Viewing Product Sales

To see how a specific product is performing in terms of sales:

  1. Navigate to the Orders page from the sidebar.
  2. Your orders list shows all purchases across all products. Each order entry includes the product name, buyer details, amount, and order status.
  3. Use the available filters to narrow down orders to a specific product if you want to see sales for just that product.

The Orders page gives you a complete history of every transaction, including successful payments, fulfillment status, and buyer information. For a deeper understanding of your order data, see the Understanding Orders guide.
