External Products Block

Showcase products sold on other platforms without needing a payment provider or creating products in Leenkies.

External Products Block

Use this block to display products sold on other platforms (Gumroad, Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, etc.) as professional cards that link out to the external checkout.

What the External Products Block Is For

This block is for displaying products on your Leenkies page while handling the actual sale elsewhere. Common scenarios:

  • Third-party marketplaces. You sell on Gumroad, Etsy, Shopify, Creative Market, or Amazon and want to drive traffic from your Leenkies page to those listings.
  • Affiliate products. You recommend products from other creators and earn a commission through affiliate links. This block presents them as a curated showcase rather than a plain link list.
  • Physical products. Showcase physical merchandise from Shopify or Etsy on your Leenkies page, even though Leenkies is designed for digital products.
  • Not ready for payments. You haven't connected a payment provider yet. This block lets you display products and link to whatever payment method you prefer (PayPal, bank transfer, DM to purchase, etc.).
  • Products on your own website. Use your Leenkies page as a curated landing page that funnels visitors to specific product pages on your main site.

How to Add an External Products Block

  1. Open your page in the page editor.
  2. Click Add Block.
  3. Select External Products from the block type options.
  4. The block appears in your editor, ready for products.

Adding Products to the Block

Each product is configured with:

  • Product Name -- Displayed on the card. Keep it clear and descriptive.
  • Product Description -- Short description below the name summarizing what it is and why to buy it.
  • Product Image -- The main visual on the card. Use high-quality images.
  • Price -- For display only -- no payment is processed through Leenkies. Enter the price as shown on the external platform.
  • Product URL -- Where visitors go when they click the card. Use the direct product page URL.

To add a product:

  1. In the block settings, click Add Product.
  2. Fill in the name, description, image, price, and URL.
  3. Repeat for each product you want to showcase.
  4. Drag to reorder.
  5. Save your page.

What Visitors Experience

Visitors see a grid of polished product cards -- each showing the image, name, description, and price. The look is similar to the native Products block, keeping your page cohesive.

Clicking a card opens a new tab and takes them to the external URL you specified, where they complete the purchase on that platform.

Pro Tip: Link directly to the product page, not a generic homepage. Fewer clicks between your page and the purchase button means higher conversions.
