Managing Your Contacts

Search, view, edit, and delete contacts in your unified CRM.

Managing Your Contacts

Your Leenkies Contacts page is a lightweight CRM that collects everyone who has interacted with your business -- whether they submitted a form, purchased a product, or booked an appointment. This centralized view makes it easy to find specific contacts, review their details, update their information, or remove contacts you no longer need.

Navigating to Contacts

To access your contacts:

  1. Open your Leenkies dashboard.
  2. Click Contacts in the sidebar navigation.
  3. You will land on the Contacts page, which displays a list of all your contacts sorted by the date they were added, with the most recent contacts appearing first.

Contacts List View

The contacts list displays each contact as a row with key information visible at a glance:

  • Name -- The contact's full name.
  • Email -- The contact's email address.
  • Phone -- The contact's phone number, if provided. If no phone number is available, this field is blank.
  • Source -- How the contact was added to your database: contact form, product order, or appointment booking.
  • Date -- When the contact was first created.

This tabular view gives you a quick overview of your entire contact database. You can scan through the list to get a sense of who has been engaging with your page and how they found you.

Searching Contacts

The Contacts page includes a search bar at the top that lets you find specific contacts quickly. You can search by:

  • Name -- Type part or all of a contact's name to filter the list. This is useful when you remember who you are looking for but do not have their email handy.
  • Email -- Search by email address to find a specific contact. This is the most precise search method since email addresses are unique.
  • Phone -- Search by phone number to find contacts who provided their phone information.

The search filters the list in real time as you type, narrowing down the results with each character. When you clear the search field, the full contact list is restored.

Pro Tip: If a customer contacts you via email about a previous interaction, copy their email address and paste it into the Contacts search bar. This instantly shows you their full contact record, including how they originally found you (source) and when they first engaged.

Viewing Contact Details

Click on any contact in the list to view their full details. The contact detail view shows all stored information for that person:

  • Name -- The contact's full name.
  • Email -- Their email address.
  • Phone -- Their phone number (if provided).
  • Source -- The channel through which they were first added (contact form, product order, or appointment booking).
  • Date created -- The date and time of their first interaction with your page.

This detail view is your single source of truth for each individual contact. It consolidates all the information Leenkies has collected about that person into one place.

Editing Contacts

You can update a contact's information at any time. To edit a contact:

  1. Click on the contact in your contacts list to open their detail view.
  2. Click the Edit option.
  3. Modify the fields you want to update -- you can change the name, email, or phone number.
  4. Save your changes.

Editing is useful when a contact provides updated information, changes their email address, or when you need to correct a typo in their name or phone number. Changes are saved immediately and reflected everywhere that contact's information appears.

Pro Tip: If a customer tells you they have a new email address, update it in their contact record right away. This ensures any future interactions from their new email are recognized and associated with their existing profile rather than creating a duplicate.

Deleting Contacts

To remove a contact from your database:

  1. Find the contact you want to delete using the list view or search bar.
  2. Click on the contact to open their detail view.
  3. Click the Delete option.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Deleting a contact permanently removes their record from your Contacts database. This action cannot be undone. Past orders and appointments associated with that contact are not affected -- those records remain in your Orders and appointment history independently.

Use deletion sparingly and only when you are certain you no longer need the contact record. Common reasons for deleting contacts include removing test entries, cleaning up spam submissions, or complying with a contact's request to remove their data.

Pagination

As your contact list grows, the Contacts page uses pagination to keep the interface fast and usable. Navigation controls at the bottom of the contact list let you move between pages of contacts.

Contacts are sorted with the most recently added first, so your newest leads and customers always appear on the first page. You can page through your entire contact history using the forward and backward navigation controls.

Pro Tip: Regularly review your contacts list to stay familiar with who is engaging with your page. Even a quick weekly scan can reveal patterns -- like an influx of contacts from a particular source after a social media post or campaign -- that help you understand what is driving interest in your business.
