Deleting Your Account
WARNING: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, there is no way to recover your data. Please read this entire guide carefully before proceeding.
If you decide that you no longer need your Leenkies account, you have the option to permanently delete it along with all associated data. This guide explains exactly what happens when you delete your account, what data is removed, what is not removed, and how to prepare before taking this step.
Navigating to Account Deletion
To access the account deletion option:
- From your dashboard, click Settings in the sidebar navigation.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page until you reach the Dangerous Zone section.
- The Dangerous Zone section contains the Delete Account option, clearly marked to indicate its destructive nature.

The Dangerous Zone section is located at the bottom of your Settings page. The Delete Account option is highlighted to indicate that this action is permanent.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your Leenkies account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:
-
Your profile -- Your name, email, username, and all account credentials are deleted. Your public URL (
leenkies.com/yourusername) will immediately stop working and return a 404 error. -
All pages -- Every page you have created (Home, About, Shop, Portfolio), including all blocks, content, text, images, and media within those pages, is permanently deleted.
-
All products -- Every digital product you have created, including product descriptions, pricing, images, and uploaded files, is removed. Product file downloads will no longer be accessible to customers.
-
All orders -- Your complete order history, including customer information, payment details, fulfillment records, and transaction data, is permanently deleted.
-
All bookings -- Every appointment booking, including past and upcoming bookings, customer details, and booking confirmations, is removed.
-
All contacts -- Your entire contact list and CRM data, including every form submission, contact name, email, and any notes, is permanently deleted.
-
All analytics data -- Your complete analytics history, including page views, clicks, device data, geographic data, referrer data, and all historical trends, is removed.
-
All short links -- Every short link you have created is permanently deleted. Anyone clicking those short links will see a 404 error. All short link analytics data is also removed.
-
Your theme and customizations -- All theme settings, color choices, typography selections, and layout preferences are deleted.
-
Integrations are disconnected -- Your Stripe Connect and Google Calendar integrations are disconnected from your Leenkies account.
What Is NOT Deleted
Certain data exists outside of Leenkies and is not affected by account deletion:
-
Google Calendar events -- Any calendar events that were created in your Google Calendar as a result of appointment bookings will remain in your Google Calendar. Leenkies disconnects the integration but does not delete events that have already been synced to your calendar. You can manually delete these events from Google Calendar if you wish.
-
Stripe transactions -- Payment transactions that were processed through Stripe (both payments you received from customers and subscription payments you made to Leenkies) remain in your Stripe account and Stripe's records. Leenkies disconnects the Stripe Connect integration but does not alter your Stripe transaction history. This data is retained by Stripe for their standard record-keeping and compliance requirements.
Pro Tip: Before deleting your account, review your Google Calendar for any upcoming appointment events and your Stripe dashboard for transaction records. These will persist after deletion and may need manual cleanup if desired.
Confirmation Process
Account deletion requires explicit confirmation to prevent accidental data loss:
- In the Dangerous Zone section, click Delete Account.
- A confirmation dialog appears, clearly warning you that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.
- You may be asked to type a confirmation phrase or enter your password to verify your identity and intent.
- Click the final Confirm Deletion button to proceed.
Once you confirm, the deletion process begins immediately. Your account, data, and public pages are removed, and you are logged out.

Before You Delete: Recommended Steps
Because account deletion is permanent, we strongly recommend completing the following steps before proceeding:
Export Your Contacts
If you have collected contacts through your contact form or CRM, export them before deleting your account. Your contact data (names, emails, form submissions) will be permanently lost after deletion. Navigate to your Contacts section and export your contact list so you have a copy of this data.
Download Your Invoices
Navigate to Billing and download PDF copies of all your invoices from the Billing History section. These invoices are your records of payments made to Leenkies and may be needed for tax reporting or expense tracking. Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to access these invoices through Leenkies (though they remain available in your Stripe dashboard).
Export Your Analytics
If your analytics data is valuable to you, navigate to Analytics, set the time period to 30 days, and click Export to download your analytics data as a CSV file. Repeat for different time periods or page filters if needed. This data is permanently removed during account deletion.
Save Your Content
If you have product descriptions, page content, or other text that you want to preserve, copy it to a separate document before deletion. Once your pages and products are deleted, this content cannot be recovered.
Notify Your Audience
If you have shared your Leenkies URL on social media, business cards, email signatures, or other channels, remember that your URL will return a 404 error after deletion. Consider updating those references to point elsewhere before deleting your account, or at least be aware that anyone clicking your old link will see an error page.
Pro Tip: If you are not sure whether you want to permanently delete your account, consider cancelling your subscription instead. Cancellation preserves all your data while stopping future charges. You can always resubscribe later and pick up right where you left off. See Managing Your Subscription for details.
