Expertise, Showcase & Brands Blocks

Display your skills, portfolio projects, and client logos to build credibility.

Expertise, Showcase & Brands Blocks

Credibility is built by showing what you know, what you have done, and who you have worked with. The Expertise, Showcase, and Brands blocks each address one of these pillars. Use them individually or combine all three on a page to present a complete picture of your professional capabilities.

Expertise block

The Expertise block displays your skills, specialties, or areas of knowledge as a collection of tags (badges). It is a quick, visual way to communicate what you bring to the table without writing paragraphs of text.

How it works

The Expertise block is found in the Content category of the block palette. Once added and selected, its settings panel shows a list of tag items.

Each tag has a single field:

  • Label -- The name of the skill or specialty (for example, "UI/UX Design," "React," "Brand Strategy," or "Photography").

To add a tag, click the add button at the bottom of the list. To remove a tag, click its delete button. Tags can be reordered by dragging their grip handles.

On the page

On your published page, each tag is rendered as a compact badge or pill-shaped element. Tags are displayed in a flowing, wrapping layout that adapts to the width of the page. This creates a clean, scannable grid of skills that visitors can take in at a glance.

Use cases

  • Freelancer skills -- List your technical skills, tools, and methodologies: "Figma," "TypeScript," "Agile," "SEO."
  • Consultant specialties -- Highlight your areas of expertise: "Business Strategy," "Market Research," "Financial Planning."
  • Creator niches -- Show what topics you cover: "Tech Reviews," "Travel Vlogs," "Fitness Tips."
  • Languages -- List the programming languages, spoken languages, or other qualifications you have.

Heading options

The Expertise block includes the standard Heading section. A title like "My Skills," "What I Do," or "Areas of Expertise" paired with the right heading style sets the context nicely.

Pro Tip: Be specific with your tag labels. "JavaScript" is more credible than "Coding." "Brand Identity Design" is more meaningful than "Design." Specific labels tell visitors exactly what to expect from you.

Showcase block

The Showcase block is a portfolio display that lets you present your projects with images, titles, links, and category-based filtering. It is the most visually rich block in Leenkies and is designed for creatives, designers, photographers, developers, and anyone who wants to display their work.

How it works

The Showcase block is found in the Content category. Its settings panel is divided into three main sections: Heading, Categories, and Portfolios.

Categories

Categories let you organize your portfolio items into groups that visitors can filter. Each category has a single field:

  • Name -- The name of the category (for example, "Web Design," "Branding," "Photography").

Click "Add New Category" to create additional categories. Categories can be reordered by dragging their handles. If you do not need filtering, you can leave the categories empty -- portfolio items will simply display in a flat list.

Portfolio items

Each portfolio item has the following fields:

  • Category -- An optional dropdown that assigns the item to one of your categories. This field only appears when you have at least one named category. Assigning categories enables visitors to filter the showcase on your published page.
  • Title -- The name of the project (for example, "Acme Corp Rebrand" or "Summer Photography Series").
  • Link -- A URL that visitors can click to view the full project, case study, or external page.
  • Background -- An image upload field for the project's cover image. This image is displayed as the visual backdrop of the portfolio card. Use high-quality images with a vertical aspect ratio for the best presentation.

Click "Add New Portfolio" to add more items. Portfolio items can be reordered by dragging.

Layout options

The Showcase block includes a Layout section with the same options as the Testimonials block:

  • Grid -- Portfolio items arranged in a responsive grid. Choose between 1 or 2 columns.
  • Carousel -- Portfolio items in a horizontal slider with optional navigation arrows and pagination dots.

The grid layout is best when you want all items visible at once. The carousel is better when you have many items and want to keep the page compact.

On the page

On your published page, portfolio items are displayed as visual cards with the background image, title, and a clickable link. If categories are set up, visitors see filter tabs at the top of the block that let them narrow down the display by category. Clicking a category tab shows only the portfolio items assigned to that category, while an "All" tab shows everything.

Pro Tip: Use consistent image dimensions across all your portfolio items for the cleanest visual presentation. If your images have different aspect ratios, the showcase will still work, but uniform images create a more polished, professional grid.

Brands/Clients block

The Brands/Clients block displays logos of companies, clients, or brands you have worked with. It is a straightforward trust signal that tells visitors, "These organizations trust me -- you can too."

How it works

The Brands block is found in the Content category (listed as "Client & Brands" in the palette). Its settings panel has a simple structure: a Heading section and a Brands section.

Each brand entry consists of a logo image upload. You add logos one at a time by uploading image files. The block displays them in a clean, evenly spaced row or grid.

On the page

On your published page, the logos are displayed in a horizontal row that adapts to the screen width. On wider screens, more logos appear side by side; on narrow screens, they wrap or scroll. The presentation is clean and minimal -- just the logos, with no extra text or decoration.

Use cases

  • Freelancers -- Show logos of companies you have consulted for or done contract work with.
  • Agencies -- Display your client roster to demonstrate the scale and variety of your work.
  • Creators and influencers -- Highlight brand partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Service providers -- Show logos of organizations that trust your services.

Heading options

The standard Heading section is available. Common titles include "Brands I've Worked With," "Trusted By," "My Clients," or "Partners."

Pro Tip: Use transparent PNG logos with consistent sizing for the cleanest look. If a client's logo is very colorful or complex, consider using a simplified or monochrome version so the row of logos looks cohesive rather than chaotic.
